Road Construction Update

I-94 Westbound has lane restrictions between Hwy 280 and Cedar Ave (Cedar Ave exit IS open).  I-94 Eastbound (between I-35W and Hwy 280) will be closed from Friday, April 27th through Sunday, April 29th. (cancelled)  There is currently road construction on Riverside Avenue.  These projects do NOT affect our standard published driving directions.  Cedar and Washington Avenues remain open and recommended.

Parking Update

Parking is still plentiful! - just not on Riverside Avenue.  The U of M's 19th Avenue ramp behind Midwest Mountaineering, as well as the Law School and Willey Hall U of M surface lots are good options.  Please use our updated Expo parking map.

Parking Deal:  $5 (daily rate) validation tickets are available for the 7 Corners Ramp (at the Holiday Inn).

MidwestMtnStorefront.jpg Look for our beautiful, classic turn of the nineteenth century two-story red brick building on the Northeast corner of Cedar and Riverside Avenues – very close to the Metrodome, University of Minnesota, West Bank and the seven corners intersection.

Light rail is coming to Midwest Mountaineering … AGAIN!  We are excited to be located less than one block from the future West Bank light rail station, scheduled to be operational in 2014.

Getting to the store will be easy as always.  All streets and entrances will be available throughout the construction — come on down!
